| ICHHA Philosophy: |
|
Our Motto is RISE , or, Respect , Innovation , Skills , and Empathy .
ICHHA will R I S E to integrate HIV AIDS programs into provision of comprehensive health services that address the needs of the individual as well as the community; integrating preventive, primary and tertiary care into a continuum of health services capable of addressing the entire spectrum of health needs based on a robust primary care system linked to a responsive tertiary care system. Such capability is predicated on having the infrastructure and trained professionals to perform reliable needs assessments and devise effective delivery systems that are responsive to identified needs. It is imperative therefore to take a multi disciplinary, cross cultural approach to public health that does not rely merely on a traditional purely biomedical construct. ICHHA seeks to support every stakeholder in public health with the resources needed. The magnitude of the HIV epidemic and the consequent risk of economic and demographic collapse mandates an unprecedented public health response to manage individuals and communities affected by HIV AIDS. Effective, affordable and comprehensive care that is sustained will require mobilization of government as well as non-governmental resources including private charitable contributions. Successful mobilization of resources is predicated on demonstration of an effective model of health care delivery that ensures universal access (including resource poor rural communities) and has a credible system to monitor outcomes. |
